Hazeley Academy pupils are celebrating after a fantastic set of performances of musical We Will Rock You.
Director of Creative Arts, Dianne Weir, said: “Everyone in the show worked extremely hard to produce this fantastic musical. The show was a sell-out and a great success. If you came to any of the performances I’m sure you will agree The Hazeley Academy brought a touch of the West End to the city of Milton Keynes.
”None of this would of been possible without the support and commitment of the cast, the extremely talented band, WWRY crew and the Creative Arts Faculty. A big thank you to all.”
Principal, Mark Bennison, said: “A phenomenal pride in the combined achievements of our dedicated staff and talented, hard-working students was palpable in the audience: these were great nights for the Hazeley Academy and a sign of things to come. My family came along and were thrilled to be associated with Hazeley. Indeed, we often talk about ‘the Hazeley family’ – and on these occasions everybody who came knew exactly what we mean by that.”
Mrs E Treacher Chair of the Board of Directors said: “The youngsters were wonderful - a real credit to the school and to all the hard work your team has put into the production. It was truly a fantastic evening
“I know how much other Directors have enjoyed the evening and how highly they are talking about the high standard of performance. Please give our heartfelt thanks to all your team for the hours they have spent enabling the youngsters to perform at such a high standard.”
