The health organisation overseeing a £3.2million review of healthcare in Milton Keynes has appointed a new head.

Matthew Webb has been named acting chief officer of Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group. He has been the CCG’s chief finance officer since 2012. His predecessor Jeannie Ablett, stepped down last week.

Mr Webb will continue in the role for at least six months while a permanent replacement is recruited.

The CCGs for Milton Keynes and Bedford are overseeing the £3.2million review which is expected to result in at least one of the two hospitals’ A&E departments undergo a major downgrade.
