Do you know a local community group or charity that could benefit from a £500 cash boost?
The Milton Keynes Citizen has teamed up with leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey to offer worthy causes the chance to receive £500 in our fantastic Community Chest campaign.
We are inviting you, our readers, to nominate good causes in the Milton Keynes area which you feel are most deserving of this incredible cash award.
Whether it’s a local charity which relies on donations to carry out its work in the community, or a group or organisation which makes a real difference in your neighbourhood, we want to hear where you think the money would be best spent.
Steve Rolt, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Midlands, which is currently building high-quality new homes at its Kingston Chase development in Milton Keynes and Sherwood Grove development in Bletchley, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for readers to nominate their favourite local cause to receive a very special thank you in the form of the £500 Community Chest.
“We are delighted to be teaming up with the Milton Keynes Citizen for this special initiative and hope people will take the opportunity to nominate the unsung heroes in their community.”
Readers have until Sunday April 6 to put forward their nominations for the Community Chest. Our editorial team will then whittle down the nominations to produce a shortlist of the most deserving causes, before inviting readers to vote for their favourite.
Shortlisted nominations for the Community Chest will also receive the added bonus of publicity in the Milton Keynes Citizen, helping them to raise their profile across our circulation area.
Olga Norford, Citizen editor, said: “We know there are many organisations in our area which do great work in the community, and what better way to say thank you than by putting them forward for this cash award.”
To nominate a good cause for the Community Chest, simply email the Citizen at firstname.lastname@example.org, with ‘Community Chest nomination’ in the subject line, and include your name, telephone number, details of the organisation you are nominating and why you think it should receive the £500 award.
The deadline for nominations is Sunday, April 6.
