STONY Stratford is host to a feast of fun in the coming days, with the town’s first event that you can truly get your teeth into, writes Sammy Jones.
The Feastival is a 10 day session of tasty events, with an overall aim to encourage visitors to the historic town and create a ‘jolly and prosperous atmosphere.’
You can take your first bite when it launches tomorrow, and there are plenty of chances to sample the delights.
Throughout the festival entire, you can show your knowledge by taking part in the Cock & Bull Take-Away Quiz.
At a quid a go, it is a cheap way to give your brain a play and all proceeds go to the York House.
Fairtrade Fortnight is being supported at the town’s library, and local artists have submitted their art around the subject to the Stani Gallery in the High Street too.
The White Horse will be holding a Frog Island Fiesta, stocking beers from Stony’s own brewery.
Also, this weekend marks the seventh Cock & Bull Real Beer Festival, with plenty of the wet stuff looking to be sunk at York House tomorrow and Saturday.
On Saturday, the RSPCA will be holding a shop produce sale, so please try and support with a few quid if you can.
On the same day, the town hosts an English & French Food Market in Odell’s Courtyard between 9am and 3pm, while the Timor Court Market will have it’s own selection of tasties for sale.
Loads more yummy events are in the diary between now and March 4th.
