Highways England announce new road closures in Milton Keynes

Highways England have announced new road closures to begin at the start of next week.

Some lanes of the A5 will be closed while the safety barriers are repaired.

The work will be undertaken on weekdays between 8pm and 6am to minimise disruption and should be completed early December.

Some full closures are required to install temporary barrier and road markings and a clearly signed diversion route will be in place when the road is closed.

The speed limit will be reduced to 50mph past the works and this will remain in place during the day.

In addition while both lanes of the A5 will be open during the day, they will have to be narrowed.

On Monday, November 28 the A5 northbound will be closed between A421 Redmoor Roundabout (H9) and A422 Abbey Hill Roundabout (H3).
