Homeless community mourns death in Milton Keynes

The city's homeless community is mourning the death of a former rough sleeper who was a familiar faces at Central Milton Keynes.

Gareth Turp died at Milton Keynes hospital on February 7.

He was in his thirties and it is understood he had been in hospital for around two weeks.

The cause of death is still unknown but an inquest is due to be opened on Friday by Milton Keynes Coroner Tom Osborne.

Mr Turp’s address is officially recorded as ‘no fixed abode’.

A source from the homeless community told the Citizen: “Though Gareth did not die on the streets, he was still homeless. It is simply not good enough that another homeless person from Milton Keynes has died. something must be done to stop this happening.”
