Innovative pupils at Broughton Fields Primary School in Milton Keynes have won £1,000 in vouchers after creating a shop of the future.
The Innovation Challenge was set by John Lewis, who judged the competition, with the winning team from Broughton Fields being Future Fantasy. Their outstanding hologram-based idea hit the top spot as the best response to the question set by the store’s innovation managers - ‘What will the shop of the future look like?’ This idea allows customers to try on clothes without the need for a changing room.
The said: “We were all inspired by their use of technology, the explanation of the customer journey and that the team gave evidence to back up their idea.”
Broughton Fields Primary School received £1,000 in John Lewis vouchers for their school and a John Lewis innovation manager will deliver a workshop.
The Innovation Challenge was a nationwide competition and further challenges will be held.
