Inquest opens after man dies at builders’ yard

AN inquest into the death of a man who died at a builders’ merchants opened today at Milton Keynes Coroner’s Court.

Mark Pointer, from Leighton Buzzard, was at the Travis Perkins Builders’ Merchants in Old Wolverton shortly before 8am on Friday, when he was attaching planks of wood to the roof of his Land Rover.

As he stood on the nearside, rear wheel of the car, the 44-year-old slipped and fell under the wheel of a lorry travelling through the yard.

Mr Pointer suffered head and chest injuries and died at the scene. The inquest was adjourned to April 19 2013.
