Inquest opens after pedestrian killed in fatal collision

An inquest into the death of a Slovakian man who died on the V4 Watling Street opened yesterday.

At around 8.20pm last Tuesday (September 13) Jozef Toth, 35, was hit by a passing silver Vauxhall Corsa, near Roni’s hand car wash.

The vehicle stopped at the scene and emergency services were called.

Mr Toth sadly died in hospital.

The driver, a woman, was uninjured.

The police investigation is ongoing and the inquest was adjourned until 2017.
