Thousands of people visited intu Milton Keynes over the weekend and were treated to a kaleidoscope of music, entertainment and laughter.

Giant butterflies, glitter face painting, mind-bending balloon shaping, a helter skelter, hook-the-duck, speedy diddicar racing and even a cocktail bar from Revolución de Cuba were among the many free activities across the weekend.

MKFM also hosted an extravaganza of music talent from all generations and genres, including the locally celebrated vocalist Lydia Singer to the energetic number one chart-topper Mr Boomslang.

One of the highlights of the weekend was the flash mob, performing over both days, the dancers were dressed as intu Milton Keynes staff and broke out into a slick dance routine, performed to Justin Timberlake’s ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling!’

“Everywhere you looked you could see people laughing, having fun and enjoying a day out with their family or friends. This is what Everyone’s Invited is all about,” said Shelley Peppard, general manager at intu Milton Keynes.

“Each year we will make this a bigger and better event for the community of Milton Keynes to enjoy and to give local performers and groups the chance to showcase their incredible talents,” she added.

Across the weekend, 1,379 children played and won on our free hook a duck; 673 adults enjoyed a complimentary Revolución de Cuba strawberry daiquiri and nibbles in the sun and 1566 had free popcorn or candyfloss.
