intu Milton Keynes made a positive impact of £126.1 million on the region's economy last year, according a new report showing the shopping centre's Gross Value Added (GVA), a recognised measurement of its total economic contribution as a result of local investment.

3,105 local jobs were also supported by intu Milton Keynes in 2015, including 20 construction jobs. This represents 1.3% of all jobs in the area.

“We’re proud to be one of Milton Keynes’ leading long term employers and investors,” said Shelley Peppard, general manager at intu Milton Keynes.

“It is clear that this helps us play an important role in maintaining healthy and prosperous local communities in the area and supporting sustainable economic growth and employment opportunities.”

Most recently, intu Milton Keynes further showed its commitment to the local community and sponsored the greatly celebrated ‘Dominoes’, part of the International Festival’s line up of public events.

On the same evening, intu hosted the MK Midnight Moo for Willen Hospice and throughout the campaign, the centre’s team have helped to encourage women to take part in the 10-mile midnight walk - which Shelley Peppard took part.

She adds: “We are a big part of Milton Keynes’ community and want to continue to support projects, get involved and help partners wherever we can.”
