STAFF at Mercedes-Benz UK got a thrill on Saturday when the AMG Petronas F1 team roared into their Tongwell HQ.

It was the first time a Formula One car has run at the Delaware Drive base and development driver and Sky F1 pundit, Anthony Davidson wowed the 2,500 staff and their families with a live show.

During the afternoon teams raced the clock, and each other, in a pitstop challenge before watching World Champion trials rider and Record Breaker Martyn Ashton and jump rider Blake Samson in a cycling acrobatics show.

Teams raised £5,000 for the company’s Charity of the Year, Macmillan Cancer Care, by cycling 258 miles and The Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy helped give younger children their first driving experience.
