THE annual Viking Club Cat Show will get feline fans all excited this weekend, when it gets its claws into Stantonbury Campus on Sunday.
In all, there will be more than 200 cats represented at the show, and the emphasis is on pedigree pussies AND the domestic.
Originally indigenous to the northern extremes of Russia, the Siberian will be in attendance, along with the beautiful Maine Coons, the British Shorthair and the wild Bengal.
In what will make for a truly stunning spectacle, more than 100 Norwegian Forest Cats will also compete in a special breed event.
Judges fly in from all over – from France, Denmark and Germany – to cast their expert opinions alongside the UK delegates.
Exhibitors will be available to share their knowledge of cats and their health, nutrition and general welfare.
If you are going to get involved with a puddy-tat, you need to know how to keep them fe-line fine before you start.
Perhaps you are looking for a special present for the moggie already in your life. Again, the Viking show will get you sorted, and if you would like to make a donation to one of the cat charities raising funds for their welfare and support, the time will be right to open your purse.
The show is a purr-ticularly cracking day out for anyone who loves our four legged, long tailed, independent, free spirited pets...and there are enough of you out there!
Admission is £3 for adults, £1.50 for children under 14 years and OAPs.
Under 5s go free when accompanied by an adult.
Doors open at 10am and the curtain falls on the show at 4.30pm.
