Jobs event to help axed Railcare workers

A jobs and information event has been planned to help Railcare workers who have lost their jobs.

The event takes place today, Monday, August 19, specifically to support people affected by the recent redundancies at the rail works in Wolverton.

It will be held at the Council Chambers, Milton Keynes Council Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes at 10am.

The event will give people facing redundancy the opportunity to hear presentations, ask questions, find out about new vacancies, speak to employers and sign up for free training which could help in job searches.

The event has been organised by the Department of Works and Pensions.
