THE Citizen, Milton Keynes’ favourite local newspaper, is about to get even better with a new look and fresh approach.

The Citizen relaunches next week with a more modern design to deliver the news to you in an easy to follow format – complemented by our unrivalled news website

We’re introducing a smart new design in a newspaper that’s packed with local news, views, features reader offers and competitions.

And from next week we will offer an extended sports section as well as an unrivalled leisure supplement, motors and property and new jobs.

But the relaunch is not just about a new look but a new outlook with the aim of better representing the community this newspaper serves.

The Citizen is proud of its reputation as Milton Keynes’ most trusted newspaper and we will continue to champion local causes and campaign on the issues that matter to the people of this great city.

All your usual features and columns will remain with plans to feature a new weekly business page, a chance to share your pictures of days gone by and the opportunity to highlight your school ‘s success stories.

To celebrate the relaunch, editor Olga Norford and the Citizen team will host a meet and greet session at thecentre:mk, from 11am to 3pm on Thursday, February 28 – and all readers and advertisers are invited.

Olga said: “This will be an opportunity to meet as many readers as possible and invite them to share their views on the new look Citizen.

“I’ll also be interested in their views on how we can make even more improvements as we move forward.

“There will also be a chance to chat to members of the news and advertising teams plus we’ll be giving away goodie bags and offering refreshments.

“The relaunch is an exciting initiative and one that will further help endorse the Citizen as the area’s leading local newspaper. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible.”

The new look Citizen has been produced with the support of a leading international design team.

It will feature a larger, more readable font with the new look Citizen further emphasising the digital coverage available via our website and our Facebook and Twitter sites.

Olga added: “We are first wherever and whenever news breaks and we now share that news coverage with our readers in the best format possible – whether in print, online or through our social media channels.

“We are proud to be recognised as MiltonKeynes’ leading local newspaper and look forward to an even more successful future.”
