YOUNG artists were honoured at the weekend for their part in celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee.
The Friends of Willen Hospice awarded prizes to the talented winners of the Hospice’s Jubilee Colouring Competition on Saturday morning.
The compettion had seen children encouraged to decorate a picture of a crown for a donation of £1 to the hospice. The entries were judged in three different age categories and the winners were announced at a prize giving ceremony at the hospice.
The winners in each category were:
Under 5’s - Sophia Rees (age 4) from New Bradwell 5-8’s - Yasmin Lawrinson (age 7) from Thornborough 9-12’s - Morgan Hobbs (age 10) from Willen Park
Each winner was presented with a £10 CMK Shopping Voucher.
Chairman of the Friends of Willen Hospice, Bethany Whatley, said “It was great to see so many entries of beautifully decorated crowns. It was a fun activity to raise much needed funds for Hospice care.”
The hospice also thanked Waterstones in CMK for its help with the competition.
