Just how prepared for Christmas are Milton Keynes shoppers?

Milton Keynes shoppers are festive pros when it comes to Christmas preparation, with the average adult spending more than 27 days researching, planning and buying presents.

A new survey of 2,000 people by British Land, owner of Kingston Centre, found that, although people in Milton Keynes are likely to have made their first Christmas purchase on 1st September, 47 per cent will leave it to this week to do their gift buying.

In comparison, an uber-prepared 46 per cent have already picked up festive gifts as early as August.

WMilton Keynes residents also admitted that they spend more time choosing a present for their mum, than their Dad!

But it seems we’re slightly less prepared when it comes to the Christmas food shop, with 11 per cent of Milton Keynes adults leaving it right up until Christmas Eve to buy their festive food and drink.

Each person in Milton Keynes is also expected to spend on average £243 this Christmas, compared to the national average of £213 – a total expenditure of £47 million pounds from all adults in Milton Keynes*.
