Kiddies at Milton Keynes day nursery become doctors and nurses

Children at one of the city nurseries proved it is never too young to take an interest in health and wellbeing when they celebrated World Health Day.

Kiddi Caru’s Caldecotte Day Nursery provided little ones with a variety of activities in honour of the special day.

Staff organised hospital role play sessions for the children, who enjoyed taking it in turns to play the parts of doctors, nurses and patients. They also had the opportunity to try lots of healthy foods and spent time talking about what can help us to stay fit, well and healthy. Held on April 7 every year, World Health Day marks the anniversary of the World Health Organisation, which was founded in 1948.

Nursery manager Lucy Clarke said: “The children had a great day – they really enjoyed the role play activities. There were lots of bandages being applied and arms in slings thanks to our budding healthcare professionals in the making.”
