Kim Jeffrey killing: manslaughter plea rejected

A 36-year-old man accused of the murder of his partner, Kim Jeffery in Milton Keynes has had a plea for her manslaughter rejected.

Blake Ross, from Tavelhurst, Two Mile Ash, appeared at Luton Crown Court for the plea hearing today (Friday).

He pleaded not guilty to murdering Kim Jeffery, 36, on 10 April this year but admitted manslaughter.

Judge Michael Baker QC remanded Mr Ross in custody for a pre-trial hearing on October 11 and said his trial would begin in Luton on October 31. It is expected to last two weeks.

Ms Jeffrey, also known as Kim Randall, died from stab wounds and facial injuries at the home she shared with Mr Ross.

A large number of her family and friends filled the public gallery for the short hearing.
