A newborn kitten thrown out of a car window on to a 70mph road is making a miraculous recovery.

Tiny black and white Daisy was rescued up by a former police officer Donna Demain, who risked her life to dodge the cars and scoop her up from the A5 near Caldecotte.

Today after three weeks of bottle feeding by Donna, Daisy is fighting fit and piling on weight.

“She’s doing so well. She’s really bonded with me – she thinks I’m her mum!” said Donna, who plans to keep her.
