The Solid Silver Sixties Show tour bus pulls up at MK Theatre on Sunday.

Billy J Kramer, the man behind chart hits including Do You Want to Know a Secret, Bad to Me and Little Children, will be joined on the bill by Chris Farlowe, The Merseybeats, original Searchers vocalist Mike Pender and the new Amen Corner.

“I’m delighted to be coming back to the UK with my band The Rising,” Billy said.

“Having been touring in the US for quite a while, we have become like family,” he said.In recent times Billy has released a new CD, his first new studio album to hit the shelves in three decades, it is called I Won the Fight.

“I’d say it’s been 50 years in the making!” he said.

Billy shared management with the man responsible for taking The Beatles to global success, the late Brian Epstein, and it was John Lennon who suggested Billy add the ‘J’ to his name.

He still keeps in touch with pals from the era: “I sent Paul McCartney one of the new tracks, To Liverpool with Love, and he said it really captured the period.

“To be headlining the 30th year of the Solid Silver 60s, which is also my 50th year in the business is a real privilege,” he added.
