Large fire in south Northamptonshire partially closes A5 and residents advised to shut windows

Six firefighter crews have been tackling the blaze since the early hours of this morning

Residents are advised to keep their windows closed after a fire in south Northamptonshire with part of the A5 currently closed.

The main road is shut in both directions from Pottersbury to Old Stratford due to the large amounts of smoke coming from the blaze nearby.

Six fire engines from The Mounts, Mereway, Moulton, Corby and Thames Valley fire service have been tackling the fire at 'a premises' in Old Stratford since around 3.50am.
