A NETWORKING event is set to give people the chance to learn more about health services in the city.

LINk:MK (Local Involvement Network, Milton Keynes) is set to host its annual LINk 2 Health and Care Event at Middleton Hall, thecentre:mk on Tuesday October 18.

The free all day event is in its eighth year and is open to everyone. It provides an opportunity for the public to find out about over 60 local health and care services from voluntary, statutory and private sectors, as well as enjoy a full programme of stage events.

This year, Milton Keynes Primary Schools will be taking part in a choir competition to win cash prizes, while other stage events include Zumba and Line Dancing.

The event will be officially opened by the Mayor at 9.45am and runs until 5pm.

Carol Duffy, team manager for LINk:MK, said: “If you are interested about finding out more about LINk:MK, the team will be on hand to answer any questions and register new members – remember, LINk:MK is here to promote patient and public participation and ensure everyone in Milton Keynes has a say in how their health and social care services are designed and delivered.

“This event is one of the ways we engage with the community, but is also a really good day, with lots to do and see.”
