Little Abigail Bass gives Leo the Lion a big kiss on the lips as the Milton Keynes Hospital charity launched its newest partnership with Midsummer Place Shopping Centre.
Leo’s Appeal is the Shopping Centre’s charity of the year and to kick-start its campaign it held a fundraising family event in Caffe Italia.
It included face painting, music from the Musical Minis and a drawing competition.
The event raised over £130, which will go towards funding enhancements to children’s services at the hospital, including the refurbishment of ward areas, fun sensory rooms for the children and enhanced facilities for parents.
Hospital fundraising manager Vanessa Holmes said: “The family fun event was a lot of fun and a really great way to launch our work with Midsummer Place.
“We’re really pleased to be chosen and thank all the staff for their generosity. This partnership is giving Leo’s Appeal a real boost and will help make a tangible difference to children and families staying on our wards.”
