Ahead of the glamorous event on Sunday, the ODEON revealed that 41 per cent of MK’s film lovers want Leo recognised for his leading role in The Revenant.

The report analyses 10 years of Oscar wins and reveals that statistically the odds sit in Leo’s favour, noting that the typical Best Actor winner is in his 40s, has acted for 23 years and has 32 films under his belt.

Leo himself is 41, has acted for 25 years and starred in 37 films.

A total of 14 per cent of Milton Keynes residents said they would thank their pet in an acceptance speech and more would thank their colleagues than their friends.

The ODEON in Leicester Square, London, has temporarily changed its name to LEODEON, ahead of this Sunday’s Academy Awards to show support for Leo.
