Leon Recreation Ground is officially one of the best parks in the UK – and has the prestigious national Green Flag Award to prove it.

The Bletchley space has once again been awarded the title, and the Green Flag flying overhead tells the public the area is beautifully maintained and has excellent facilities.

Leon Recreation Ground was established during the latter part of the 19th century.

It boasts good play provision for all ages, a park gym, ample seating and mature European lime trees.

The park also hosts the annual Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Carnival, Midsummer Madness.

Speaking about the award Councillor Liz Gifford, MK Council’s Cabinet Member responsible for Community Services said: ““We are absolutely delighted to once again receive a Green Flag Award for Leon Recreation Ground from Keep Britain Tidy.

“This award recognises and highlights that people in Bletchley are benefitting from a green space of the very highest quality.”
