Milton Keynes will fall silent this morning as those across the city commemorate Armistice Day.
A two-minute silence will be held at the MK Rose in Campbell park at 11am, where the mayor, Councillor Keith McLean, will lay a wreath.
Rev Canon John Robertson will lead the service, with the event beginning at 10.50am.
There will also be representatives from the armed forces and the Royal British Legion there.
Mr McLean said: “It is a time to take stock but it is also a time to celebrate some of the very best about humanity.
“We pay respect to those who fought and lost their lives in conflicts past, as well as thinking about those who are currently risking their lives in conflicts around the world.”
