With only a few days to go until the first ever MK Marathon this Sunday The Places for People team have been preparing for the Geoffrey Leaver Corporate Relay Challenge.

They have been getting some help from people who know how to get to the top. Coach Mike New and Ishmail Fontaine from the MK Lions basketball team have been putting them through their paces at the company’s Brooklands development with stretching and running exercises through the meadows and along the award winning Brooklands ridge.

Simon Elcock, project director, said: “We’ve got a great relationship with the Lions and we’re delighted they’ve been giving us a boost with our training programme.

“Win or lose we are all having tremendous fun getting ready for the Challenge and looking forward to participating in what promises to be a great day in the Milton Keynes corporate calendar, not to mention raising money for local worthwhile charities.”
