The 30 members of the Lions Club of Bletchley will be getting together with about 140 singers from Rock Chorus to raise the roof and raise money for charity.

This is the sixth year Bletchley Lions have taken part in this fundraising event, and this year half of the proceeds will go to Great Horwood-based Medical Detection Dogs, with the other half going to the Lions Club Charity.

The concerts started after a Lion looking for a new fundraising venture saw Rock Chorus perform at the 2009 West Bletchley Carnival.

More than £10,000 later, the annual event is going from strength to strength, with last year’s concert at The Venue MK, Walnut Tree, being virtually sold out.

Rock Chorus is made up of five choirs that get together to sing the sort of songs that make your feet tap, and raise money for good causes.

This year’s concert, on April 16, is sponsored by Marshall Amps and IKEA.
