Lonnie's son brings skiffle to Milton Keynes

Skiffle music sounded out loud at St Mary's Church on Saturday evening, when the late Lonnie Donegan's son Peter Donegan came to Shenley Church End.

Peter performed at the Harvest festival celebrations, playing many of his Dad's old favourites. But Peter is also a songwriter himself, and treated the audience to songs from his own latest album,Superman, which he recently recorded in Nashville.

Peter also told many amusing tales about events which happened to him whilst on tours around the country, and stories about life at home from his earliest memories with his family.

The evening was organised by John Petrie and £1000 was raised with half going to Peter's three-year-old son Eric, who suffers from autism, to help fund a special needs therapy course, and half going to St Mary's Church fund.
