The names of 65 lucky residents were drawn on Wednesday to attend The Queen’s Summer Garden Party in celebration of Her Diamond Jubilee.
MK Community Foundation hosted the event at Acorn House and their President, Vice Lord Lieutenant Alexander Boswell DL, drew the names alongside the Mayor of Milton Keynes, Alan Richards, and the new High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, Carolyn Cumming.
These 65 residents and their guests, will be attending the Summer Garden Party to represent the Unitary Authority Area of Milton Keynes, and will join another 3,870 guests celebrating The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee near Henley-on-Thames on June 25.
The lucky 60th person that was drawn from the Public Ballot yesterday will meet The Queen at the event and the 65th person will meet The Duke of Edinburgh.
The event was attended by various members of the Voluntary Sector, including the MK Lions.
