Swimmers, supporters and ‘clickers’ joined forces for the Rotary Club of Milton Keynes annual swimathon to raise money for charity.
On Saturday, March 9 at Stantonbury Leisure Centre, teams of six swimmers from across the city swam for 55 minutes in relay style. Willen Hospice had four teams this year, including two children’s teams – Adrian and the Sunflower Girls, Racing Pods, The Sunflower Seeds and the Willen Water Wings, who alongside all the other teams did an amazing job.
Allison Waterhouse, Events and Community Fundraiser, said “We were delighted to be involved in the swimathon once again this year and grateful to everyone involved, especially the Rotary Club. The funds raised at this event will go towards Day Hospice care.”
