Man, 52, charged with burglaries

Garry Lynch, of no fixed abode, was charged on Thursday with three counts of burglary, one count of attempted burglary, one count of robbery and one failure to provide a drug sample in custody.

He appeared at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on Friday where he was remanded to appear at the same court on February 15.

The charges are in connection with the following incidents:

> A burglary at the Plough Inn at Simpson overnight on July 26 when a window was forced and games machines were opened and an unknown amount of money was stolen from them.

> On August 26 a woman was robbed of her handbag by a man who approached her from behind at Barbers Mews in Milton Keynes.

> An attempted burglary at the White Horse pub, Stony Stratford, on September 8 when an occupant of the pub woke to find a man outside the pub attempting to gain entry through the back door. He then walked away and the witness later found a hole had been made in the wooden rear door.

> A burglary at the Grebe pub in Great Holm on September 19 when a rear door was forced and a pool table was broken into an unknown amount of money stolen.

> A burglary at the Cricketers Pub in Oldbrook overnight January 6 when a window was smashed and a games machine was broken into and an unknown amount of money stolen.

> On January 14 a man refused to provide a drug sample while in custody at Milton Keynes.
