Man assaulted and robbed on redway

A man had his mobile phone stolen after he was assaulted close to Bleak Hall.

At around 11.30pm on Tuesday, the 28-year-old was walking along Dunsby Road, next to the underpass that leads under Grafton Street towards Bleak Hall, talking on his Symphony mobile phone, when he was approached by two men.

One of them punched him in the face causing him to drop his phone. The man picked the phone up and ran off towards Coffee Hall.

The victim did not require hospital treatment.

The offenders were white and were wearing black jackets. One was aged between 25 and 35 years old, approximately 5ft 8ins, and was wearing a black woollen hat.
