A 29-year-old man was assaulted in Oldbrook on Sunday in an unprovoked attack.

Between 8.40pm and 8.45pm the man was leaving the front communal door of The Boundary when a man grabbed him by his jacket and pushed him into a wall. He then continued to push and pull the victim hitting his head into the wall before running off towards Fishermead.

PC Annabelle Bailey, who is investigating the incident, said: “The unprovoked assault lasted for around a minute. When the offender left the victim noticed that he had various small cuts to his hands that appear to have been caused by a small knife. His leather jacket had also been pierced.”

The offender is black or Asian, 6ft, with a medium to large build and was wearing a bomber style shell-suit jacket, dark grey hooded top and a scarf over his nose.

Any potential witnesses can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
