Man has phone stolen after attack

A man had his mobile phone stolen after he was attacked while walking in Oldbrook

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the attack which happened at 1.45pm on Friday. The 21-year-old was using his Nokia E71 while walking along Verity Place when a man who had been following him caught up with him and punched him in the face, knocking him over.

As he fell over the offender grabbed the phone from his hand and ran off.

The offender is described as white, slightly tanned, man, 5ft 9ins tall between 24 and 27-years-old with short straight black hair. He had a short black beard with little hair around the moustache area.

He was wearing a maroon jumper, dark trousers and trainers that were possibly black.
