Man hit in the head and robbed in alleyway

A 59-year-old man was hit in the head and robbed in a city alleyway last Thursday evening.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery which took place at around 6.50pm in the alleyway beside Victoria Road, Fenny Stratford.

The victim was in the alleyway when he felt a blow to the back of his head and then one to his forehead.

As he lay on the floor, the offenders went through his jacket and trouser pockets.

The victim then saw two people running away towards Victoria Road where they turned left.

The first offender was 5ft 5ins tall and the second suspect was 5ft 8ins tall. Both men were wearing dark clothing.

The victim received scratches to his face.

Money, a Zippo lighter with a dragon design and 10 cigarettes were stolen.
