Lawrence Connors, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to three counts of burglary and one count of handling stolen goods last month and was sentenced on Tuesday, December 5.

The offences happened in July 2017 in Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire.

Connors was originally sentenced to six years for a distraction burglary in Hanslope, Milton Keynes, however the term was reduced to four years for an early guilty plea.

He was also sentenced to 18 months each for two burglaries in Horton Cum Studley, Oxfordshire and Oxford, to run concurrently with each other and consecutively to the four year sentence.

He was given a further four month sentence for the charge of handling stolen goods, to run concurrently.

Detective Constable Paula Conde-Sharpe said: “We are committed to tackling this type of crime and bringing offenders to justice. We welcome the sentence in this case and hope it demonstrates the seriousness of these offences and will act as a deterrent to others.”
