Man stabbed in ‘frightening and unprovoked attack’


A shop worker was stabbed in the hand during a robbery at a newsagents last week.

At around 5pm a man walked behind the counter of Emertons, on Church Street, Wolverton, and threatened the victim.

After stabbing him in the hand, the man pushed him against the wall, then took cash from the till before running out of the shop and cycling away.

The offender is Asian, 5ft 7ins and he was wearing a black coat with the hood up and a black scarf over his mouth and nose.

The victim needed hospital treatment for the injuries to his hand. However, he was discharged on the same day.

Det Con Alan Purkiss said: “We would like to speak to anyone who saw the robbery or the offender leaving on his bike.

“This was a frightening and unprovoked attack for the victim.”
