Man stabbed in Leon Park, Milton Keynes in daylight assault

Witnesses are being sought to an assault that happened in broad daylight in Bletchley yesterday.

Police officers were called to the recreation ground in Leon Park at around 5.35pm following reports that a 23-year-old man had been stabbed.

He was taken to hospital by air ambulance where his condition is described as stable.

It is believed that he was assaulted near to the entrance of the graveyard and his attackers ran off through the graveyard.

Police are looking for a group of four to seven male youths, aged between 16 and 17 years-old, all wearing dark tops.

One of the attackers is described as a white male youth, around 5ft 7 ins tall, wearing a black top, black trousers. It is thought the youths had their faces covered and were wearing hoods.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this attack to come forward,” said Investigating Officer, Det Sgt Luke Grove of Force CID based at Milton Keynes police station.

“This was an attack in which a man has received serious injuries, and I would ask people to call Thames Valley Police on 101 quoting reference 1183 23/5/2016.

“At this stage we do not believe there is a wider threat to the public.”
