A MAN was threatened with a knife and a bat before having his bike stolen as he cycled along the V8 close to Peartree Bridge.

As he passed two men in an underpass one asked for a lighter. As he stopped and went to get it he was punched in the face, knocking him down.

One of the men demanded his phone and told him he had a knife. The other man was seen to be holding a wooden bat.

The first man then picked up the bike, a dark blue Trek model with a broken front brake, and the pair ran off towards Netherfield.

The men are black and about 6ft. The first man is in his twenties and he was wearing a dark beanie-style hat with a white band, dark jacket, dark jeans and has local accent.

The second is aged between 20 and 30 and he was wearing a dark baseball cap, black hooded top and he possibly has a Somalian accent.

Any witnesses can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
