Man who fell from flats in Oakgrove was suffering from cancer
The man who died after falling from a block of flats in Oakgrove has been identified as Peter Wood.
Mr Wood, 70, was retired and was suffering from cancer.
An inquest which opened today, heard that a member of the public saw him at a fourth floor window and rang the police.
Police attended the call out to Atlas Way, near where Mr Wood lived, and tried to talk him down.
Despite police efforts Mr Wood was pronounced dead at 4.37pm on Monday, July 18.
The inquest will resume on January 17, 2017.
