A good sing-song and enjoying life is the secret to staying young, according to Florence Bailey who celebrated her 100th birthday on Thursday. Florence, a resident at Rosewood Care Home, Fenny Stratford, and more affectionately known as Flo, was born in Chelsea and is a mother to one, grandmother to three and great grandmother to 10.
Her daughter Sylvia said: “We had a lovely day spent with staff and family alike and I can’t thank them all enough for making mum’s day so special. “We’re all exhausted now but she’s still happy to party.”
Sharon Thursby, manager at the care, added: “Flo’s a much loved resident here and we’ve all enjoyed celebrating her special day.”
