Many minor roads still closed due to flooding
Many minor roads around rural areas on the outskirts of Milton Keynes are still closed due to flooding.
Most of the roads lead into Bedfordshire, where the A422 is closed, and Northamptonshire, where the B526 to Northampton is closed.
The route out of MK from the northern side is via the A509 to Olney or the M1, say council highways officers.
Meanwhile the road to Lower Weald at Calverton is closed, as is Devil’s Dip near Haversham.
Watling Street and Tathall End are now open.
