McCarthy and Stone breaks grouf with Milton Keynes MP

Iain Stewart MP visited McCarthy and Stone's new Assisted Living Platinum Range development, Elizabeth House, in Stony Stratford last week to mark a key milestone in the construction programme.

Ian was accompanied by Ali Maruf, regional Managing Director for McCarthy and Stone North London.

To officially commemorate the start of the build, Iain Stewart MP was invited to a ground-breaking ceremony at Elizabeth House.

The MP for Milton Keynes South donned his hard hat and hi-vis jacket to officially place the first spade in the ground, and also took the opportunity to discuss plans for the new development with Ali Maruf.

Named Elizabeth House in homage to the area’s famous historic figure, Elizabeth Woodville – who captured the heart and married King Edward IV – the development will feature a stunning collection of one and two bedroom apartments, some with private balconies.

Exclusively designed for those aged 70 and over, the apartments will be released for off-plan sales in Autumn 2017, with the first homeowners expected to move in during the spring of 2018.

Iain Stewart MP, said: “It was a pleasure to mark the start of construction at Elizabeth House and to experience first-hand how this vibrant new development will continue to take shape and become an important landmark for local retirees.

“Having an independent, active and safe lifestyle is incredibly important at any age, so it is fantastic to see the provision of Assisted Living apartments such as these in our local area.

“Elizabeth House will provide further choice for those who are looking to downsize to a more manageable property.”

Ali Maruf, Regional Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone North London, said: “I’d like to personally thank Iain Stewart MP for helping us to celebrate the start on site at our new Stony Stratford development by leading an official ground-breaking ceremony.

“Elizabeth House has been carefully designed to meet the needs of those in later life who are looking to downsize in style with the added benefit of flexible on-site support to help homeowners stay independent for longer.

“We are pleased to have secured such a prime place in the highly-sought after area of Stony Stratford, and unsurprisingly this Grade A location has already garnered a lot of interest.

“I’d therefore urge anyone interested in hearing the latest updates on this development to put a call into our friendly sales team to avoid missing out.”
