Supermarket giant Morrisons went into ‘meltdown’ yesterday as boiling temperatures caused ALL the refrigerators to break down.
Meats, cheeses and yogurts, to name just a few, were quickly rushed into an emergency chiller in the back room to stop them going off.
Customers kept their cool during the mayhem, as staff worked hard to fix the problem.
A Morrisons spokesperson said: “None of our chilled goods were affected and customers were still able to get what they needed.”
The short-lived heatwave saw temperatures reach up to 37 degrees.
