Milton Keynes building site mananger wins national award for the fifth time

A site manager working at a new homes development in Milton Keynes has won for the fifth time a national competition to find the best-run building sites in Britain.

Roy Kelly, Barratt Homes senior site manager at the Fairfields development, won the prestigious Pride in the Job Quality Award.

The 55-year-old will now go on to the next round of the competition, which will select the best site managers in Britain later this year.

He said: “I’m very proud to have won the Pride in the Job award for Fairfields. The key to a great development site is organisation, coupled with the enthusiasm and professionalism of a dependable team working for you, which I’m very lucky to have.”

Andrew Swindell, managing director of Barratt Homes Northampton said: “This official recognition by the NHBC of Roy confirms that we are building some of the best quality homes in the country here in Milton Keynes.
