National Locums and Dr Ann Limb CBE DL were the big winners as city business men and women were awarded last night.

National Locums impressed the judges with its sustained growth, including the imminent launch of its operations overseas, earning it the title of Business of the Year 2016.

MKBAA Business of the Year, sponsored by The Open University, is chosen by the judges from the winners of each of twelve categories.

Chair of the judging panel, Sir John Southby said National Locums, which also won the Professional Practice Award, was an exciting and innovative example of Milton Keynes business.

The MKBAA Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Barclays, was awarded to Ann, for her significant contribution to the business community in Milton Keynes, raising the profile of her own sector, organisation, and, that of the region in a positive way.

The awards were once again organised by Milton Keynes Business Leaders Partnership (MKBLP), in association with full service marketing agency Interdirect and event management experts Evolution.

Chair of MKBLP, Dr Philip Smith MBE said: “Now in its third consecutive year, Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards continues to go from strength to strength, highlighting the dynamic and innovative approach taken by so many of Milton Keynes’ inspiring businesses.

“It was fantastic to see 600 smartly dressed guests at the Double Tree by Hilton tonight, all eager to support their friends and colleagues from businesses across Milton Keynes.”
