Nicolina, from Palermo, Italy has been working at the nursery in Kents hill since July.

She is studying Early Years at the University of Palermo and carried out her placement at Acorn nursery.

Acorn are a registered trusted placement with the university and hope to welcome more Italian students over the next year.

During her stay Nicolina has been brushing up on her English and giving the children Italian lessons, many of the children now know simple words and colours and have thoroughly enjoyed exploring a new language.
