Milton Keynes charity Ride High announces winner of competition

After recently running a competition to win a place in the prestigious race, Ride High are have announced that a woman from Milton Keynes is the lucky winner,

Claire Davey from Milton Keynes is the lucky winner and will be running next year’s London Marathon for the local charity.

Claire, a keen runner, who works at Sysmex UK, one of the UK’s leading diagnostic suppliers which is already a huge supporter of Ride High, was excited to receive the news.

“I have personally met some of the amazing children that are supported by this charity and it is those individuals that have encouraged me to take on this challenge and support in the only way I know how......running,” she said.

“Every penny I raise will help this wonderful charity and these amazing children and will contribute to improving a young person’s life now or in the future.”

Rachel Medill, founder and CEO of Ride High, said: “I’m delighted that Claire is taking on this fantastic challenge for Ride High.

“At Ride High we work with over 80 of Milton Keynes’ most disadvantaged children every week but this is only possible because of the kindness and generosity of our supporters.

“I wish Claire the best of luck with her challenge and we’ll definitely be down in London on April 23 to cheer her on.”

With Christmas not far off Claire intends to start her training with support from a personal trainer at the Butterfly Factory in January, along with activity to help her meet her fundraising target of £2,750.
